Ash replaced the steady fall of rain after what seemed like months of
it. Felix had lost practically everyone, including his ex girlfriend,
Calhoun. Felix had reached his breaking point; why should he try anymore
with everything fucking him over? Ralph had moved on, probably dead now
after the first bombings destroyed half of D.C. Felix was on his own,
completely and unfortunately. That is until he meets Penelope
(#Vanellope), an ex-junkie who knows of a group just outside of the
Maryland border where he can probably find /WHO/ he's looking for. He
was given hope, something he thought was long gone since the start of
this deadly outbreak.
But suddenly, Felix's idea of safety becomes a sick game of survival.
Because Penelope is vindictive, and captures Felix for the simple fact
that he knows things that he shouldn't, including the fact that his
parents were CIA members with information behind a certain vaccine that
could possibly help those infected by this virus. The virus was unnamed,
besides a folder marked with a Z, that much Felix remembers. But a
vaccine was never properly talked about, unless it was a hope for it, in
the event this Hellhole happened.
On the other side of town, a very much alive #Ralph seeks out his friend,
hoping that maybe he isn't too late, and can get him out of the mess
the bombings have left D.C in. But when Ralph finds Felix's home empty,
and completely wrecked, he assumes the worst for his best friend. Ralph
and Felix go way back, before Ralph had become a police officer and
Felix had earned his degree in nursing. Their relationship was strained
after that, having never really spoke much after the fact and cutting
off plans to even keep their friendship up.
But it's during the hostage, that Ralph learns his best friend is alive,
and fearing for his life.
Can Ralph save Felix from Penelope's clutches? Can he build the
friendship once broken due to their choices in life? Can anything ever
go back to the way it was?
